Tech Your Pick #2 NEW RULES FOR ONLINE ADVERTISING

The Digital Services Act package (DSA, DMA) is Europe’s ambitious plan to revise the rules on how online services, such as social media networks, should be regulated.

The proposals are a key opportunity to finally start tackling the business model of big tech companies, strengthen user rights, and to give people back control over their lifes online. They could therefore include future rules on tracking-based online advertising and practices that online services use to manipulate users, such as targeting, nudging and other so-called dark patterns.

In this webinar Greens/EFA MEP Alexandra Geese will discuss raising concerns created by tracking-based advertising and its impact on competition, the economy and rights and freedoms. This webinar will present the findings of a new study, that will be released on 13th October.
